Papa Wahlberg
So instead of staying home and having a relatively quiet Christmas evening with the family like everyone else is undoubtedly doing, we decided to hit up one of the few places still open, Cinepolis, and catch a movie. Now, I love Will Ferrell. As Buddy the Elf, as President Bush on SNL and especially as Brennan on Step Brothers. He can do no wrong.
This is probably where you think, "Oh noooo. He did do wrong!". Well, no. He did right. Again. He's basically a pushover who just wants to be a Dad to his step-kids and all the progress he made has been successfully halted and backtracked with the arrival of Dusty (WTF where do people get these names from? And meanwhile, we're always cracking jokes about names like Laqueesha and Bon Qui Qui) the ex-husband and daddy extraordinaire portrayed by the annoyingly handsome Mark Wahlberg. Ass. He's so undeniably and unbelievably fine. War of the Better Dad ensues as Dusty tries to replace the replacer and Brad tries to retain his (almost) place of head honcho while simultaneously outperforming Dusty in every way, including giving his wife another baby.
My favorite part has got to be at the end where they both come together at their daughter's dance to confront the parents of their son's bully and, in order to set a good example for the kids, they put down their fists and get down. On the dance floor. Like Step Up. Or You Got Served. Or Michael Jackson's Bad. #DanceBattle
So if you have time during your busy holiday break, and a spare nine bucks for a ticket, take a chance. Or you're probably a racist and hate Griff (inside joke, inside joke. No need for all my nonexistent fans to be on the offensive. Also, this is another stupid name).
