Hello, Darkness, My Old Friend

{Uh-nuh and our KBBQ adventure}
Been a while. I'm out here trying my best to live life and it has been surprisingly been kind in return. Two of the chillest homies and I have been trying out best to meet up for "Weekly Adventures" wherein once a week, we allocate some precious time in our hectic lives dedicated to, well, eating mainly. We'll catch up on the happenings over some good food, good company, and lately some bomb ass adventures around SoCal. And though it may seem like such an easy enough feat to accomplish working around everyone's schedules can be taxing, but I'm proud to say that it we have made it to, yes, SEVEN WEEKS! You honestly don't understand how fulfilling it is to say that with an immense surge of pride. We've lived withing a mile, a mile and a half, of each other for years on one solid street and we've struggled to meet up maybe, once or twice a year. Yeah, that bad. And it's not like we're any less busier; I'm on my last semester of college, homie D-Bomb (lest ya'll forgot, refer to the Harry Potter Birthday post) who is moving up the corporate ladder, and homie Uh-nuh who is out here shaking the political world.

We actually left the confines of our home.
Peek-A-Boo
Since our relatively large group of friends have dispersed further from our reach, we relish the few moments our lives happen to converge on the same path even for just one night. Just before Christmas we managed to meet up with a whopping eight of them for drinks. It's surreal sometimes just hearing how, I guess grown-up their lives are even though I expected that we've all in varying degrees matured. These are homies who've got love interests in their lives, full time jobs they need a break from, fresh out of college unemployed lots in some cases, convening to have unlimited cider, mead and beer. No longer are they my seatmates who would help me cheat in whatever classes we may have shared. They're future professors and nurses and government officials and soldiers and aspiring book editors. And I'm proud of each and every one of them. Just be extra nice with the nurses and/or doctors you may come across, lest it me one of my homies.

Anyway, our weekly adventures has led us to an even bigger one: Canada! Yeah, somehow our proposed Vegas trip was derailed, after a night out on the town, to head up north to, as Uh-nuh refers to it, Trudeauland.  The 6ix for Drake fans out there. Bieber's birthplace, the soil that brought us hockey and Deadpool. Or Blake Lively's husband. We're all excited to just escape for a few days and blow our hard earned money and thrive where the maple leaves grow. Or something along those lines. 2018 is looking good and I'll try to keep up with this more than once a year.

 Oh, yeah! And I'm still into K-Pop. If anything I've fallen deeper into that fuckin' hole and am currently recruiting ARMYs. So with that off my chest, I part with one of the singles from the best album of the year according to Golden Disc Awards, MIC DROP.

 I will undoubtedly do another post just for these boys, but for now just enjoy.
